Bienvenidos un miércoles más a un nuevo ejercicio de Fill in the Gaps en Yentelman, el Blog en el que aprenderéis inglés y, si os descuidáis, hasta español. Por si el tema de Ylvis de hace un par de semanas no os pareció suficiente, hoy vuelvo a mi lado gamberro con la más famosa canción del trío cómico-musical australiano, The Axis of Awesome, formado por el solista Jordan Raskopoulos, el guitarrista Lee Naimo y el también vocalista y hombre orquesta, Benny Davis.
The Axis of Awesome iniciaron su andadura en 2006, actuando en locales de stand up comedy, hasta que empezaron a ganar notoriedad con una serie de parodias en clave de rap para las elecciones federales australianas de 2007. En 2008 vería la luz su éxito, Four Chord Song, un tema que mezclaba nada menos que 36 canciones que contienen la misma estructura de acordes en progresión. 4 Chords se convirtió en fenómeno viral en Youtube, y posteriormente The Axis of Awesome han ido sacando diversas actualizaciones de esta canción, la más reciente de las cuales es la que voy a utilizar para el Fill in the Gaps de hoy.
Como ya llevamos bastantes entradas de este tipo, creo que ya no hace falta que siga recordándoos la estructura recomendada para realizar estos ejercicios… De hecho, ya no lo hice la semana pasada, pero si necesitáis saberlo, podéis consultar Fill in the Gaps anteriores. Tan sólo decir que este es un tema cuya dificultad es progresiva, es decir, empieza muy sencillo y se vuelve cada vez más complicado a medida que las tres voces se superponen unas con otras. He intentado no complicaros demasiado la vida con los huecos. Buena suerte con él 🙂
